NEW FREE INTERNET GOLF EVENT ORGANIZER AND WEB SITE BUILDER PROVIDES NEW INNOVATIVE SERVICE

OrganizeYourGolfEvent.com has the tools and resources to make organizing group trips a snap. Golf companies and corporations of any kind can brand the solution for better customer service and added revenue opportunities.

August 27, 2009, Sterling MA - Today GTYD, Inc. announced the launch of a new Online Golf event organizer and Web site builder service that focuses on buddy trips and golf leagues called OrganizeYourGolfEvent.com (OYGE). The Web site www.organizeyourgolfevent.com not only provides the organizer the tools to organize and plan personal golf trips for friends and groups, it creates an event Web site that participants and fans can follow year round.

With organizeyourgolfevent.com planning and organizing a golf trip just got easier! What used to take spreadsheets and lists and emails now can be handled via the web. OrganizeYourGolfEvent.com is the brain trust of two avid golfers and very seasoned golf organizers who have been running events for 30 years. Partners John Ballard of Sterling, MA and Pete Lewis of Hollis, NH have organized golf trips and events that focus on groups of 4-32 golfers and saw a gap in the tools and resources available for groups of this size.

“From four guys to Pebble Beach to 40 guys to Kiawah Island, it always took a lot of paperwork and chasing people, and there was no central communication mechanism other than email”, says Pete Lewis, one of the founders, “There’s a lot that goes into setting up a trip with small groups and we saw an opportunity to use the technology of today and our years of experience to bring it all together in a Web service that would provide tools and resources to help the organizer plan an event and to provide a fun social media platform for the participants and fans to enjoy”.

OrganizeYourGolfEvent.com is designed to make that planning and communicating simpler. Golf trip organizers go to OYGE, fill in the blanks, and a free web site is created for their event. It gives the organizer a central place for all the details. It gives participants and fans of the event a place to track plans leading up to the event, and to see round by round results and standings as the event is played. The web site also contains hundreds of tips on how to run the best event as well as entertaining content like best golf jokes and videos. There are also messaging tools for the traditional trash talk between players.

“We’re passionate about our golf and setting up the best experience for golf organizers and participants, and at the same time we see a great opportunity to generate revenue from advertising and partnerships with golf related companies”, says John Ballard, co-founder and President of GTYD, Inc, the parent company of OYGE. “When you look at our site, it offers so many pages for golf companies and courses to advertise and partner with us, we even offer a white-label program that golf companies can brand and represent the site as their own tool. It’s a great service to the golf consumer and it can help golf companies and resorts provide better services to their customers”.
